Presentation Seminar - McKinney, TX

An Unique Upland Experience with Ronnie Smith Kennels, hosted by Park Cities Quail Coalition! 

The Presentation Seminar offers the opportunity to see a condensed overview of the full Smith Method of Bird Dog Training (also known as "The Silent Command System"). The seminar is a demonstration of how the Smiths develop dogs from puppyhood to seasoned bird dogs. All of the fundamental bird dog elements will be demonstrated for the attendees. Topics include development of a healthy mindset in your dog, introducing your dog to birds, teaching your dog to heel calmly beside you on a loose lead, how to build a firm foundation for “whoa,” techniques to better handle your dog in the field, development of honoring, and general canine good manners. The the training method will walk you through how to successfully develop a finished bird dog. Instructors will also go over the basics of upland hunting with a pointing dog. There is no need to bring your own dog; kick back and enjoy yourself as RSK will provide all the dogs for the demonstration. Questions from participants are encouraged.

This one day seminar will be hosted by Park Cities Quail Coalition (PCQC) on March 20, 2021. Bird dog demonstration will begin at 9:00 and conclude at 4:00 with an hour break for lunch at noon. PCQC has arranged for a barbecue lunch to be provided on site (cost of lunches is included in ticket purchase).
