Foundation Seminar - Mathiston, MS
To register for this course, please fill out the online registration form below.
Date: April 25-26, 2020
Spend the weekend learning about the nature of bird dogs and how to train them successfully. During this seminar, your instructor will walk you through the first stage of the Smith Method of training your bird dog, the Foundation Level. This is the hub of the entire training method and all training disciplines build from what is taught at this stage.
Hands-on training will begin at 8:00 Saturday and Sunday mornings. During the seminar, your instructor will go over the Foundation Level of training in-depth and get you going through each of the steps with your dog. There is plenty of demonstrations, group sessions, and hands-on learning. You will work on bird introductions, check cording to birds, pointing, honoring, recalling, heeling, and general behavior issues. Your instructor will teach you to start reading your dog's behavior and help you to understand what your dog is truly feeling. Seminar sessions will adjourn at 4:00 pm. If you have any questions regarding this seminar, don't hesitate to contact the seminar host.
Sign-up for this seminar is easy! You can either complete the form on this page or, better yet, head over to Gun Dog Supply (click here for GDS sign-up) and process your ticket through those fine folks!
